Windy Top Farm

Princeton, NJ

The bank barn restoration at Andrew Philbrick’s Windy Top Farm is a great example of a cost-effective way to take an older barn and renovate the structure with dramatic results.  Siding was replaced where needed, as were structrual beams.  This timberframe barn was in overall excellent condition for its age, but a restoration was in order.  A new standing seam roof was added along with new doors.  Rotted or missing wood was replaced with new wood.  The entire structure was repainted and shows a striking before and after result.  When you consider how to restore your barn, please consider there are many options from simple board replacement and repainting, to removal of all exterior wood and metal and a total fresh start.  No matter what the choice of materials, barn restoration yields striking results.
